Just trying to understand how this process is actually different/better than just using NMM to install them directly. But just to be sure, you want me to merge these files directly into my existing Data directly allowing the new textures to overwrite any existing textures - correct? It looks like the only thing I didn't do was to merge the extracted NMC directory (that contains the Data and/or Textures folders from the zips) into my FNV Data folder. Yep, it looks like I did the steps correctly (extracting only the first zip, etc) and the 248k .bsa is actually correct (at least I think so). If you are using TTW, (which you should be, I mean you're here so.) If you're adding the NMC texture pack for New Vegas, the steps will only differ a little. Usually (c:) Program Files / Steam / Fallout New Vegas / Data. Merge either Data or Textures with the folder in your game data location. When finished extracting you should have your rar files, and either a Data folder or a Textures folder. Now extract your files to the clean folder that you downloaded to. Do NOT extract both and do NOT extract part 2. THIS IS IMPORTANT, extract ONLY from part 1. (Large has parts 1 - 5) (Lite/Performance has 1 - 2) When the downloads have finished, you should either have 5 files, or 2 files. Download these to a new, clean folder ex: NMC Textures FO3. The Large package has 5 different files to download. Go ahead and pick which one you are going to use: Large, Lite, Performance.
I've installed this on about five different computers, and have had no issues with TTW.
